Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Supervisor Dr Cheri McDonald LMFT #27359
I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who is committed to helping my clients live a fulfilled and authentic life. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University and my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis
in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. I am passionate about working with teenagers, young adults (18-25), and millennials (25-40).
Many of my clients seek therapy to focus on issues such as anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationship issues, dating, premarital counseling, major life transitions, self-esteem, and trauma. I use a person-centered approach while also pulling from CBT, DBT, Gottman, and family systems theories.
In the therapy room, I provide warmth, kindness, empathy, and a safe space for clients to feel understood. I use a collaborative approach with my clients to help them accomplish their goals and learn healthy coping skills to utilize in their own lives and relationships outside of therapy.
I’m looking forward to the opportunity to connect and help you achieve the life you have always imagined!
