At A Place to Turn, we are honored to welcome Amy M. Allen (she/they) to our Pasadena clinical team. Amy brings a deeply integrative presence to the therapy space—combining clinical expertise, creative expression, and compassionate care to support meaningful transformation.
Amy works with high-performing individuals, couples, and teens who are seeking to move beyond feelings of being stuck, emotionally malnourished, or weighed down by self-doubt, anxiety, insecurity, or limiting beliefs. Her role as a therapist is to create a safe, open space where clients can increase self-awareness, reconnect with their inner wisdom, and experience new levels of freedom and fulfillment.
Drawing from years of training in trauma-informed treatment, EMDR, and Dynamic Emotionally Focused Therapy (DEFT), Amy integrates depth-oriented and transpersonal approaches to healing. She often incorporates art processing and creative expression prompts as tools to uncover hidden truths, nurture authentic self-expression, and expand clients’ perspectives.
At the heart of her sessions is a co-created therapeutic alliance—one that encourages confidence, resilience, and healthier patterns of connection in relationships. Amy specializes in Transpersonal Psychology, EMDR, mindfulness, and creative expression, all with the goal of helping clients find meaning, joy, and wholeness in the midst of today’s complex challenges.
