At A Place to Turn, we are honored to welcome Emily Jordan to our clinical team in Westlake Village. Emily brings a deeply integrative presence to the healing space—blending clinical insight with warmth, attunement, and a commitment to reflective, compassionate care.
Emily supports children, adults, couples, and families as they navigate a wide range of emotional experiences, including stress, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relational challenges. Her approach is rooted in the belief that healing unfolds through connection and that each person carries the inherent capacity to thrive.
With a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and dual registration as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, Emily weaves together evidence-based and relationship-focused modalities tailored to each client’s unique path. She draws from Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Neurobiology, Psychodynamic principles, and Somatic Experiencing. For children, she offers Child-Centered Play Therapy; for couples, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT); and for families, Structural Family Therapy.
Emily also specializes in trauma treatment and is currently completing certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through an EMDRIA-approved training program. This advanced training enhances her ability to help clients process and release distressing memories, restore emotional balance, and reconnect with a sense of safety and empowerment.
She is a Certified Mindfulness Facilitator through UCLA’s Mindful Awareness Research Center and trained in early childhood development at the Child Development Institute. Her thoughtful, grounding presence creates a safe space for clients to explore their inner world, reconnect with their wholeness, and make choices aligned with their values. With an additional MBA from USC, Emily also brings unique insight to clients facing work-related stress, leadership pressures, and personal-professional balance.
Emily is now accepting new clients in-person at our Westlake Village office and via telehealth.
