You’re Invited to Begin Your Healing Journey with Jean M. Day, AMFT
At A Place to Turn, we are honored to welcome Jean M. Day to our clinical team in Westlake Village. Jean brings years of wisdom, warmth, and holistic insight to her role as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, creating a therapeutic space where every client feels seen, heard, and safe.
Jean offers compassionate support to individuals, couples, and children navigating the complex emotions that arise from stress, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, or simply feeling overwhelmed and stuck. She approaches each client with genuine empathy and curiosity, inviting you to take the first step toward freedom, healing, and personal transformation.
Drawing from a wide array of clinical tools—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, and Trauma-Focused approaches—Jean personalizes her work to support each client’s unique path. She also integrates Evidence-Based Practices such as Seeking Safety, Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, Relational Dynamics, Grief Processing, ACT, and Narrative Therapy.
With over 25 years as a practicing Buddhist, Jean brings a spiritually grounded presence to her sessions, rooted in compassion, non-judgment, and mindfulness. She is also a certified Level I Reiki Practitioner, offering energy work to support relaxation, balance, and the body’s natural healing abilities. Reiki sessions involve light or near-body touch and may include sensations of warmth, tingling, or deep calm. Though not a cure, Reiki is a gentle, holistic complement to therapy that supports symptom management and emotional well-being.
Jean is now accepting new clients in-person at our Westlake Village office and via telehealth.
