You're Invited to Begin Your Healing Journey with Julia Marino, MA, AMFT
At A Place to Turn, we are honored to welcome Julia Marino to our clinical team. Julia brings not only extensive professional training but also a heartfelt dedication to helping individuals connect with their most authentic, empowered selves.
With a Master’s degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a background focused on Spiritual Emergence, Julia offers a holistic, somatically attuned approach that honors the full spectrum of human experience—body, mind, and spirit. She specializes in helping adults and teens navigate life transitions, trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, and spiritual awakening with warmth, depth, and compassion.
Julia works collaboratively with her clients to integrate difficult past experiences, shift unhelpful patterns, and release limiting beliefs that may be holding them back from thriving in their relationships, careers, or creative lives. Her unique therapeutic style blends somatic and energetic modalities with transpersonal, depth-oriented practices, while also offering practical tools like CBT to create lasting, actionable change.
Clients often describe Julia’s presence as grounded, compassionate, and down-to-earth. She creates a space where nothing is “too much” or “too out there”—whether exploring trauma, insomnia, energy sensitivity, or psychedelic integration.
With a global perspective shaped by her solo travels and a deep appreciation for the arts, Julia brings an open heart to every session and welcomes individuals from all backgrounds, cultures, genders, and identities.
