At A Place to Turn, we are honored to welcome Julia Marino to our clinical team in California. Julia brings extensive professional training combined with a heartfelt dedication to helping clients connect with their most authentic and empowered selves.

With a Master’s degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a background focused on Spiritual Emergence, Julia offers a holistic, somatically attuned approach that honors the full spectrum of human experience—body, mind, and spirit. She specializes in helping teens and adults navigate life transitions, trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, and spiritual awakening with warmth, depth, and compassion.

Julia works collaboratively with clients to integrate difficult past experiences, shift unhelpful patterns, and release limiting beliefs that may be holding them back from thriving in relationships, careers, or creative pursuits. Her unique therapeutic style blends somatic and energetic modalities with transpersonal, depth-oriented practices, while also offering practical tools such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support lasting, actionable change.

Clients often describe Julia’s presence as grounded, compassionate, and approachable. She creates a safe space where nothing is “too much” or “too out there”—whether exploring trauma, energy sensitivity, or psychedelic integration. Julia warmly welcomes clients from all backgrounds, cultures, genders, and identities.

Julia is now accepting new clients via telehealth. She serves clients from the California communities and beyond, offering accessible care throughout Southern California.
