You’re Invited to Begin Your Healing Journey with Adriana Guarderas, AMFT

At A Place to Turn, we are honored to welcome Adriana (Adri) Guarderas, Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#148397), to our clinical team in Pasadena. Adriana creates a grounded, non-judgmental, and supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel truly heard and understood.

Her therapeutic style blends warmth, flexibility, and humor, while also providing thoughtful accountability to help clients clarify and achieve their goals. Adriana integrates approaches from narrative therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, existential therapy, relational therapy, art interventions, and person-centered therapy. With training and experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples, Adriana offers tailored care that is collaborative and feedback-driven in our Pasadena office.

Adriana has specialized training and experience supporting neurodiverse clients—including those on the autism spectrum, with ADHD, and with OCD. She is LGBTQIA2S+, consensual non-monogamy (CNM), and kink-affirming, and is currently pursuing advanced training in sex therapy through the Sexual Health Alliance. She has also completed Gottman Method Level 1 training and coursework focused on CNM, kink, and BDSM communities.

As a multiethnic therapist with lived experience in both Southern California and Ecuador, Adriana values cultural humility and views clients as the experts of their own lives. She is now accepting new clients in-person at our Pasadena location and via telehealth.
