You're Invited to Begin Your Healing Journey with Beth Sopkin, AMFT
At A Place to Turn, we are honored to welcome Beth Sopkin, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Art Therapist, to our clinical team. Beth brings not only extensive clinical training, but also a grounded, creative, and compassionate presence to the therapeutic space.
Beth specializes in integrating art therapy with traditional talk therapy, offering clients a gentle and nonconfrontational way to access emotions that may be difficult to express in words. Her approach encourages unconscious thoughts and feelings to rise to the surface, allowing for deep processing, clarity, and healing.
With a holistic, client-centered philosophy, Beth empowers individuals to lead their sessions at their own pace while exploring their thoughts, feelings, and needs. She emphasizes small, intentional commitments as a means to build self-trust and lasting emotional resilience. Her easy-going, authentic presence invites clients to feel safe and accepted as they navigate their healing journey.
Beth has experience supporting adolescents in school systems, adults in community mental health, and individuals in addiction recovery settings. She works with children, teens, and adults facing a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and life transitions.
Her therapeutic expertise includes art therapy, trauma-focused care, emotionally focused therapy, ketamine-assisted therapy (KAT), neurofeedback, and support for women’s issues and self-esteem.
