At A Place to Turn, we are honored to welcome Sarah Thomas Fazeli, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, to our clinical team. Sarah believes that healing begins with connection, curiosity, and compassion, and she offers a warm, grounded presence that invites clients to explore the deeper layers of their experiences with openness and courage.

Sarah holds a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Mount Saint Mary University and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts (creative writing, film, and theatre) from CalArts. Her unique background bridges the worlds of psychology and the arts, allowing her to guide clients in uncovering, expressing, and reimagining their inner narratives in deeply meaningful ways.

Her integrative approach blends evidence-based therapies such as CBT, DBT, and ACT with somatic awareness, mindfulness, and creative exploration. As a certified yoga therapy instructor, Sarah values the wisdom of the body as an essential part of the healing process. She also incorporates depth and narrative therapies to help clients cultivate self-understanding and authentic transformation.

Sarah works with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, addiction recovery, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, and life transitions. She has a special interest in supporting clients experiencing pet loss and those exploring ketamine-assisted therapy as part of their healing journey.

At the heart of Sarah’s work is a belief in every person’s innate capacity to grow, integrate, and find meaning—even in the most difficult moments. She provides a compassionate, creative space where clients can show up as they are and discover new pathways forward.
