As a certified Medical Family Therapist (MedFT), Sophie supports individuals and families coping with medical conditions and health-related stress. She works with clients navigating cancer diagnoses, infertility and reproductive challenges, pregnancy loss, chronic illness, and traumatic brain injury.
Her work is grounded in a bio-psycho-social-spiritual framework, recognizing that medical challenges impact emotional health, relationships, identity, and spiritual meaning.
Coming from a large military and first-responder family, Sophie brings deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by those who serve.
She works with veterans—including combat-experienced veterans—and first responders coping with:

She also holds a Master’s degree in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a focus in Developmental Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Earlier in her career, Sophie worked as a high school psychotherapist in Los Angeles, supporting teens navigating academic pressure, social stress, unplanned pregnancy, substance use, acculturation challenges, and family difficulties.
Her background as a holistic wellness coach also informs her integrative approach to mental health and overall well-being.
Sophie’s warm, calm, and empathetic presence creates a safe space for clients to explore challenges and reconnect with their inner strengths. She welcomes integrating mindfulness, meditation, faith, and mind-body awareness into therapy when aligned with a client’s values.
